Dizin is a ski resort situated to the north of Tehran in the Alborz mountain range & also the most important ski resort in Iran & The Middle East.

The huge Dizin ski resort has a reputation for excellent snow, because of its altitude and the north facing slopes. The ski season in Dizin lasts longer than European ski resorts (from late November until late May) because of its high altitude (at 2700m , the base is higher than the summit of most Alpine resorts). The air is also drier than at a lot of European resorts, making for some excellent powder. The highest ski lift reaches 3,600 m, making it one of the 40 highest ski resorts in the world.

Dizin ski amenities include two hotels, 19 cottages and 5 restaurants, nice hotels, cheap and beautiful villas and private apartments around the Dizin ski resort accommodate thousands of people every year. With only two hours of driving away from Tehran (60 km in the Chaloos road) many people prefer not to stay overnight.

The vicinity offers caoching facilities as well as tennis courtyards, volleyball grounds, Paint Ball area, a park for children, slope for skiing on turf, some altitudes for mountain climbing and walking as well as riding and some routes for cycling. Step-by-step ski training courses are offered to the trainees.

The ski activity in Dizin complex is not confined to winter season. It is an important grass-ski centre in summer. In 1996 the first international Grasski tournament was held at Dizin.

At the present, the Dizin ski region is administered by Iran ski federation. Open to public Winter, weekdays Summer, Thursdays, Fridays & holidays.
