Lake Urmia

Urmia Lake has been designated as an international park by the United Nations. The lake occupies a 5700 km2 depression in northwestern Iran. The lake is 20Km far from Urmia (Orumieh) City. At Golmankhaneh harbor, these are coastal beaches ready to welcome travelers. Inside the lake there are numerous beautiful islands where wild beasts and birds live.
The water of this lake, containing natural salts and muds is used by patients who suffer of dermal and rheumatic troubles.
