PressTV -- The project will be carried out in an attempt to promote scientific study of the country's historical gardens.

Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) seeks to register the country's Persian gardens on UNESCO's world heritage list.

The lively style of Persian gardens has influenced many famous gardens in the region namely that of Taj Mahal in India.

The oldest registered Persian garden was built by Cyrus the Great in the Achaemenid capital of Pasargadae.
