Iran’s museums to welcome visitors during Noruz

Iran’s museums will play host to visitors during the Noruz holiday, which runs from March 21 to April 1.
The museums and other places affiliated with the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (CHTHO) will be open during the New Year holidays, the CHTHO Deputy Director Hossein Jafari said.
He went on to say that the museums would be open every day from 9:00 to 21:00 throughout the holiday instead of being open only until 18:00 as they are the rest of the days of the year.
All the places which have open-air areas like Sadabad Palace and the Isfahan’s Chehel Sotun will be closed on April 1, the day of Sizdah Bedar (a Persian festival celebrated on the 13th day of the new year and the custom is to spend the day outdoors).
The ticket price will not change during the holidays and brochures, catalogs, bilingual CDs and posters will be distributed in historical places, he said.
