Having read much of the posts on this forum and similar forums, I do have similar questions, but can't seem to find a definitive answer. My situation is as follows. I am a UK non practicing catholic man living in Malaysia. My girlfriend is an Iranian national, but does not practice her Muslim religion. Neither of us are that religious and neither of us actually care about religion although we both have a very spiritual nature. I would like to know how I can marry this girl? Living in Malaysia may not be permanent, so one day I may go back to the Uk or perhaps live in a different country depending on where my work takes me. I know my girlfriend would also follow. One more thing, she is divorced from an Iranian guy and has a child by him. What are my options? I don't particularly want to convert as I have a very dedicated catholic family.
Any help would be appreciated.

well, this is a multi dimensional question and there are many aspects to be considered.
Do you know that iranians are shiettes and do not wholly belive in nabi muhammad (s.a.w.) they disrespect one of muhammad's (s.a.w.) wife Aisha(r.t.a).the guy may love you but does he follow islam as the whole ummah or your self does or he follows shiett islam? remember there are no different kinds of islams.there is only one which is followed by the true believers,who believe in allah(s.w.t) and his prophet(s.a.w.)long story short,Dear sister do not trade your love of allah for the love of a man try instead to find a true muslim who is just a muslim not a shiett or ahmadi or any thing else.may Allah make your search easier for you.asalamualaikum

i really cant believe, if you are Iranian girl and married with a french christian man, because an Iranian gal strictly prohibited to marry with a non Islamic man anyhow, she can do it after a divorce, but that way is also not that easy, you have to take permission from ministry, if they are allowing you , then you can go out from Iran and marry with him,but before marriage it's must for that man to change into Islam, otherwise Iranian embassy aint giving him Iranian visa. i don't know if you have any special source to go there with given condition.
