Studying Farsi in Iran, Learning Farsi

Salaam!
I was in Iran this year and... can't stop thinking about this place! I'm fascinated and want to go there again. My idea is to stay for few months learning Farsi, making friends and getting to know Iran better. Preferably in Esfahan or Shiraz, as these cities looked most attractive for me. So far I found information about courses at Esfahan University, but none replied to my email. Do you know where to look for such courses for reasonable price? TIA, Michal |

I have always wanted to visit Iran, apparently we drove through back in the 60s on the way to India, my father is Northern Indian and his native language is of a Persian and Arabic mix.
I would love to visit the ancient sites - and am excited about maybe visiting next year. Can't wait. Knowing some of the language would certainly help. I too am fascinated by this lovely country and culture. |

I'm from Netherlands and I'm planning to go to iran to learn farsi as well I myself grew up in the holland and I still struggle with reading and writing in farsi. and I am planning to next year, one month go to Iran and subscribe to loghat name dekhoda persian institut. as there are people who would like to contact me I would have found that well. Hi I want about almost 2 months go to Iran to learn farsi would that be enough or is it recommended for more than 2 or 3 months to go? if I could go more than 3 months to Iran then I would stay with my studies here in the Netherlands. so maybe someone or Miss Leila you could tell me what I can do best or better idea. Hello,
I am a guy from Czech Republic, university student (international relations and bussines), willing to learn farsi. I am already advanced beginer so I think I would get fluent in a little time. I am looking for a personal teacher whom I could possibly live with (so I can get a cultural experience too...but if that would be a problem, I sure can live alone). There are several institutes that offer farsi courses, but I would prefer this solution, as it is a easier way for me, with less of byrocracy and would be way more intensive. I want to come on January 2013 and will be leaving on April, as I have to graduate in May. Would prefer bigger city (Teheran, Isfahan). Of course, I pay accomodation and tution.
