Hi all, I live Montreal Canada and I am currently planning a 2 months trip to Iran by bike, I am interested in visiting the Zagros areas at the end of the summer period. I would like to ask you few questions, that could really help me organizing this amazing trip.

Since I don't really intend to focus my trip on a real biking experience, I am not intending to ship my bike there, this is pretty expensive. In revenge I would like to buy one there and then leave it there (or sell it), do you think this is possible for a Canadian to do that? thanks

In Iran you only can rent motorcycles up to 250 cc. You cannot find higher cc motorcycles for rent and they are not allowed for Iranians.

But you can bring your motorcycle (even 1100 cc) and there is no restrictions for foregners.
